This module is primarily for flour manufacturers. Multi-product contracts are entered with a total quantity, and products such as various flour products/brands can be entered without immediately specifying quantity by product, or Ship-To
Although products can be entered on the contract manually, a ‘Customer Product Card’ profile can be accessed to automatically populate the contract with the customer’s typical products, default treatments and costs and Ship-Tos.
Netting sheets allow sales reps to list costs associated with a given product/customer. Typically Futures, Basis, Protein cost for wheat, and the recovery value for byproducts, are entered. Other default costs are listed and can be adjusted to arrive at a total cost, profit and suggested price. This information can then be duplicated to other products on the contract, to simplify entry.
In Sales Order Processing, customer orders are recorded for the products and linked to these contracts. Prices are retrieved from the contract and the contract balance is reduced when shipped.
